Abstract

Totally 1,394 marine actinobacterial colonies were isolated from the soil samples of Palk Strait coastal regions namely Point Calimere (Kodiyakarai), Athirampattinam, Mallipattinam, Manora seashores, Vedharanyam saltpan and Muthupet mangroves, Tamilnadu, India by using four different culture media
