Abstract :
An attempt has been made to find an anti-diabetic drug that could potentially inhibit phosphoenolpyruvate carcoxykinase (PEPCK), a key enzyme in glucose metabilism, by using bioinformatics tools. Quercetin, a ohytochemical compound from Eugenia jambolana could be a potential drug compound that could block this enzyme activity.
