Effects of dyeing factory effluent on biochemical constituents of fresh water fish,
labeo rohita
Abstract :
Antifungal efficacy of fungi isolated from mangrove soil against two plant pathogens, namely Curvularia lunata and Drechslera ellisii has been documented. The soil samples were collected from Muthupet mangrove environs in Thirivarur district, Tamil Nadu, India. Aspergillus flavus, A. fumigatus, A. luchensis, A. niger, A. ochraceous, A. terreus, Penicilliuim citrinum, P. janthinellum, Trichoderma harzianum and T. pseudokoningii were isolated from the mangrove forest soil and cell free culture filtrates of these fungi amended in medium with different concentrations (5%, 10%, 25%) were evaluated against Curuvularia lunata and Drechslera ellisii for their antagonistic property. P. janthinellum and A. niger were more effective against both the pathogens.
