Abstract

The red algae Gelidium micropterum, Gelidiella acerosa, Gracilaria fergusonii and Gracilaria millardetii were collected from south east coast of Tamil Nadu, India, during summer and winter. Phycocolloids were extracted and their yield and physicochemical properties were determined
